FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does cleaning cost in London?
ScrubLab’s fixed prices start at £75 for a regular clean of a studio or 1-bedroom flat, £175 for a deep clean and £200 for an end of tenancy clean. A 2-bedroom end of tenancy clean is £295. All prices include cleaning supplies and equipment, and you see your exact price online before you book.
Which areas of London do you cover?
We clean across London and surrounding areas, including South, East, North, West and Central London. See our areas page for popular neighbourhoods, or message us on WhatsApp with your postcode.
Do I need to be at home during the clean?
No. Many clients leave keys in a safe place, with a concierge or with us. You choose the key option when you book and add any access notes for your cleaner.
Are your cleaners insured?
Yes. ScrubLab Solutions holds public liability insurance on every job, and every cleaner is vetted and trained to our checklists.
What if I’m not happy with the clean?
Tell us within 48 hours and we’ll come back and re-clean the missed areas free of charge. That’s our 48-hour re-clean guarantee.
Do you bring cleaning products and equipment?
Yes. Every clean includes professional products and equipment, so you don’t need to provide anything.
Will an end of tenancy clean get my deposit back?
Our checklist is built around what London letting agents and inventory clerks inspect at check-out, which is the most common reason deposits are withheld. If anything on the checklist is flagged within 48 hours, we come back and re-clean it free.
How long does an end of tenancy clean take?
Most 1–2 bedroom flats take 4–6 hours with a team. Larger or heavily soiled homes take longer, and we may send extra cleaners to finish the same day.
Does the property need to be empty?
Ideally yes. Cleaning is fastest and most thorough when furniture and belongings have been removed, so we can reach inside cupboards, drawers and behind appliances.
Is oven cleaning included?
A standard wipe-down is included. A full inside-oven deep clean (racks, glass and interior degrease) can be added for £65.
Do you clean carpets?
Yes. Carpets are vacuumed as standard and you can add professional carpet steam cleaning for £45 per room, or tile and grout steam cleaning for £75.
Do I need to be there?
No. Most tenants leave keys with the agent, a concierge or in a safe place. Choose your key option when you book.
What’s the difference between a deep clean and a regular clean?
A regular clean maintains a home that’s already in good shape. A deep clean tackles built-up grease, limescale, dust and grime in places a regular clean doesn’t reach — skirting, door frames, behind and under furniture, tiles and grout.
How often should I get a deep clean?
Most homes benefit from a deep clean every 3–6 months, before moving in, after building work, or before starting regular cleaning.
Can I get the same cleaner each time?
Yes. We aim to send the same cleaner for every visit, and you can request a cleaner you’ve loved when you book.
Can I reschedule or skip a clean?
Yes. Just message us on WhatsApp or call ahead and we’ll move your clean.
How much does Airbnb cleaning cost in London?
Airbnb turnover cleaning is priced per property based on size, linen and restocking needs. Message us on WhatsApp with your listing and we’ll send a fixed per-turnover price, usually the same day.
Do you offer trade pricing for letting agents?
Yes. Letting agents and landlords with regular check-outs get fixed trade pricing from £160, so you can quote landlords with confidence.
When do I pay?
You pay securely by card once your clean is complete — nothing upfront.
